
I absolutely love cozying up under a warm, fuzzy blanket on a cold, snowy day with some hot cocoa during Christmastime. This is a one cup peppermint hot cocoa, so perfect for just an individual, or you can easily double or triple the recipe to make it for more people!

MAKES [1 cup]
INGREDIENTS:
•1 cup whole milk
•1/2 candy cane, reserving the rest for decoration
•2 tablespoons cocoa powder
•2 tablespoon granulated sugar
•1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
•Whipped Cream
DIRECTIONS:
1.) Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, and bring to a simmer over medium heat, whisking constantly. The cocoa powder will take a while to mix in but it will get there!
2.) Make sure the candy cane is fully melted before turning off the heat. Pour into a prepared mug and top with whipped cream . Crush the remaining half of the candy cane and sprinkle on top of the whipped cream. Enjoy hot!
